A quick guide to bottle conditioned ales.
1. Allow the yeast to settle by storing the bottle in an upright position for 24 hours after delivery.
2. Refrigerate the bottle upright until it is chilled, but not cold (10-12°C).
3. Pour your ale carefully into a glass at a 45° angle leaving the yeast in the bottle.
Tip 1: Before pouring, make sure your glass is big enough to take the full volume of the bottle plus the foam.
Tip 2: When pouring at a 45° angle, target the middle of the slope; at half the half way point bring the glass to a 90° angle and continue to pour in the middle of the glass.
But hey, it's your beer. You're the boss. Some people like it warm, some people like it cloudy and yeasty. There's no wrong way to drink a beer.Bottle Conditioned Ales
